Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle, enrolled citizen of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, former executive director of the Cherokee Preservation Foundation, and Yale University graduate discusses her debut novel, named one of NPR’s Best Books of 2020 and winner of the 2021 Thomas Wolfe Memorial Literary Award. Make Your Own Flag of Gratitude – Macon County Public Library*
Lama Yeshe Palmo conducts this free two-hour workshop for ages 5-12 (an adult must accompany children under age 8), block-printing and painting fabric flags in traditional Asian and American images and words of thankfulness. We’ll have a coloring station for younger siblings of workshop participants. All materials and light healthy snacks provided. Wear washable clothes.
